Microsoft Corp. has announced that Sam Altman, the co-founder of OpenAI who recently departed from his startup, will lead the software developer’s new in-house artificial intelligence team. This move is aimed at strengthening Microsoft’s AI initiatives and reassuring investors.

Greg Brockman, another co-founder and board member of OpenAI who also left last week, will be joining Altman. Microsoft’s CEO Satya Nadella stated in a LinkedIn post on Monday that the company will swiftly provide the necessary resources for their success. Additionally, in a separate post on X (formerly Twitter), Nadella mentioned that Altman will assume the role of CEO for the new in-house group.
